Default SIM Card Error

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I've got a BB7290 with some simcard troubles. When I insert the SIMcard of my work I get an error in the SIMCard Menu: "No valid SIMcard"

This SIMcard is BB enabled and is activated for GPRS. A little bit strange but the same card is working in an older model; but not in the 7290.

When I replace the card with an non bb activated card (other provider), the SIM is being recognized. So I think it's a matter with the SIM card compatibility.

Anybody an answer on this?

If you're with Cingular, it could be the difference between the old 32K and new 64K cards. When I got my 7100g, Cingular told me that it would work with the old SIM I had in my motorola.

The story continues.....

Now I have a BB 7730, with a new (brand new) SIM card, I get the same warning: "No Valid SIM Card" Other SIM cards from other blackberries won't work.

Is the 7730 branded by the same company as the SIM card (is it a Cingular 7730 and a Cingular SIM card) or did you mix and match?
