Here is a question I have two 7100 and I sent a wav file to both phones as a text message the one got it and we use it for the ringtone and it works great. The other one I sent it to get the text message but there is nothing in the text message. We have tried it with a few differnet wav files and nothing on any of them.


I have checked the software on both it is the same and it is the newest one that Nextel has for the 7100
v4.1.0.376 software

We also had the data and the text messaging checked on both and they match.


Does anyone have any ideas on what else I can try?

1- is the BB enabled by the carrier for MMS?

2- Look at Options > MMS. First line Multimedia Reception = Always
Automatic Retrival = Always

and check or uncheck the last two message filtering boxes according to whether the sender is in the Address book of the receiver or not.
