Default blackberry Browser can see Intranet or internal websites.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, have an issue with our blackberry which is on our BES. The Blackberry browser seem to be able to connect to our internal websites, such as our intranet site. The regular internet browser on the blackberry doesnt seem to be able to, but the blackberry browser can. What are the differences between the two? I dont have a problem with this, only if the Blackberry Browser actually encrypts the data. Is the blackberry browser encrypted by default or is it a feature I can turn on on the BES? Thank you so much for your help.

The Blackberry Browser routes traffic using MDS on your BES, which has access to your Internal LAN.
The WAP browser doesn't have this ability.

Many BES administrators will actually enforce the use of Blackberry Browser for this reason alone.
In my environment, we only allow users to have the Blackberry Browser and deny access to any other browser.
