Default My Company BLOCKED Outlook!

Please Login to Remove!

I am at wit's end...,my company has just permanently blocked my access and installation of Outlook on my laptop. Problem is that I continue to use the Palm OS for contacts and Calendar functionality. Are there any other options for me to use on my desktop that can sync to my BB without Outlook acting as a conduit?

Understanding the google has calendar sync capabilities, I am looking for a product that has both contacts and calendar (just like Palm Desktop!).

Thanks

I think outlook is the only option unless you are on a BES. May I ask why they blocked outlook? Do they not want you sending emails?

Wirelessly posted (8703e Sprint: BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/104)

Goto Configure PIM, select the Calendar, hit the choose button and select from a list of all apps supported. Hint: you can do this for address book too.

They might use Notes or Groupwise, or any other mail system.

It's your company's assets. They can do whatever they want with it. You want your contacts on your personnal BB? sync at home.

I just check the available sync conduits in the Desktop Manager, and a really good option for you might be ACT! It syncs with both calendar and contacts, and there are products out there that will allow you to set this up wirelessly (handheld contacts I think, or something like that).

Hope this helps.

My company did a complete lockdown as well. I had to completely re-image my tablet to remove any traces of non-work related software. I feel your pain. Thank god we have Outlook on the exchange server and a job issued 8700c.
