|  Unable to initialize application API
Please Login to Remove! I'm a new user and am trying to import an address book from a csv
file. The phone, a Pearl has a sim in it but has not yet been registered.
In an other thread I have reported my first problem about mapping fields.
If I just proceed with the import without changing the mapping I then get
Unable to initialize application API.
Verify that correct application version is installed.
I have upgraded the desktop manager to 4.2.2 (SP2) (240 MB download!) - I think it was something like v. 4.1 before. Still the same problem.
I found an old thread here with the same problem which suggested that the phone may be at an earlier version than the software. Sounds unlikely for a new phone, but how do I check this?
