Default Removing unwanted appliction?

Please Login to Remove!

I downloaded and tried installing BBWeather. I had problems with the installation and then with running the app. I was able to delete the program(s) using Adanced Options>Applications>delete. The main program deleted, but I am left with a secondary icon that when clicked launches the Browser and takes me to a 5 day weather forecast. The icon has no name, but lists a temperature for my location for when it was somehow installed. I can not find the app in the list of applications. Any idea of how to remove it without wiping the entire 8800, which I really am reluctant to do?

Thanks for any help.

The BBWeather app works fine on the Pearl and the 8800. However, it will lock if you don't set it up right the first time. When it comes up and says "Error: No weather profiles specified" you have to click the trackball twice. DO NOT push any other buttons. After you clidk the trackball twice you will be able to use the other buttons and add the weather profiles.

There are threee apps that go with BBWeather. BBWeather, BBWeatherIcons, and BBUtils. All should be deleted. Look to make sure the modules are deleted as well.

Default BBWeather

John,

Thanks for the response. I reinstalled, and then did the double click trick. That part worked, and I was then able to enter the Location ID: XXXXyyyy and the description.

I saved them, but then when closing, and in trying to get to a forecast, I get "Error: Invalid url parameter".

Any thoughts?

Default Found Answer

I searched even more and found that you need to disable the MDS option. BBWeather now works perfectly. A very neat program.

Somehow I still have a rogue icon that links to another weather that is connected to AcuWeather. I have no clue on how to delete it as it doesn't show up in Applications.

I suppose I could just hide it, but it bothers me to be using memory and who knows what else. So BBWeather works, any help on the rogue program would be appreciated.

Default the final piece

The unwanted icon was from BB weather push, not BBWeather. I had to unsubscribe (it a terrible push app), and then delete the bookmark, which got rid of the icon.

BBWeather is terrific!

How did you unsubscribe from it? I removed the bookmark in hopes it would unsubscribe.
