i am new to the BB scene, so sorry if this is obvious. I have a pearl, unlimited data plan. I have nothing to hide, but i find this topic interesting. If surf the web with my BB, is this information tracked? By t-Mobile, or by my office? i ask as i need to think twice about what i may write home, if i dare look online at job postings.

ps- i am not refering to writing email by my BB...i know the BES gets all that...i am talking about using gmail on the web interface, or maybe looking for new job postings at craigslist, etc, while on the bus.

If your device is on a BES, then your company pretty much owns the device and can log anything they want... including the web sites that you visit.

Your best bet for privacy is to assume that nothing is private when your device is on a BES.

It is safe to assume (because it is possible) that anything you do on your company issues BES-enabled BlackBerry can be tracked by your IT people. Yes, browser history as well.

Possibly, but I doubt anyone would do this. If anything, it isn't going to be listed right under your account. It would be listed on some server somewhere.
