Default Micro SD Card Issue. Locked?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm pretty sure similar questions have been asked, but I couldn't find anything on this one specifically. Hopefully there isn't allready a thread on this.

Anyway, after putting my 1GB Micro SD card into my pearl, under the media card options, it said that no card was present. I restarted and everything, and still nothing. I took the chip out, put it into the adapter and tried it out in my Canon camera. There I got the message "Memory Card Error: Locked Card!"

What does this mean? How can I fix this? Do I have a faulty card? My card is a brand new 1 GB Kingston.

Does the card have a slider on it that locks the card?

It does, but I made sure it was unlocked, so I'm not sure why it's still showing up as locked.
