Question Handheld Not Found

Please Login to Remove!

Strange issue here AGAIN! ..

Just decided to finally sell my BB7510 as i dont need it anymore.. so i was going to upgrade the software and when i connect the blackberry, it made a quick usb sound "dong dong dong", different then a connect/disconnect. So i go to the desktop manager and it doesnt start to synch, i go to connections and chose USb and hit detect; presents the message "Handheld Not Found".

So i figured maybe because this is the same desktop manager i use with my 7520, maybe something is different. I load the desktop manager to another machine i have. install, and it does the same thing, makes the same sound and presents the same message on detect of the device on the usb port..

i dont get it? is there a setting i mistakingly changed to cause this?

keep in mind, the unit charges when connected with no problem.. it just makes that usb sound, wont synch and not detected.

any help is much appreciated

Tried rebooting?

Tried another cable?

I would try starting the apploader anyways and see if you can choose USB-UNKNOWN.

See if that yields any luck.

In the Desktop Manager under Connections settings, make sure it is set to USB?

Could be. You have tried a hard reset of the device right?

Different USB port?

Could this be a USB 1.1 vs a USB 2.0 issue?
