Is it possible to surf the internet without subscribing to a RIM service with my phone service provider? I already have a GPRS service with them.
My concern is that I have the 5820 which may not be able to run the latest OS.

If your data plan has been setup with GPRS and a WAP Gateway then technically you should be able to surf the internet, albeit other WAP.

Under Options, you can configure the default APN for your provider and you should be able to get out using the internet browser or wap browser.

I don't see TCP under Options. This tells me that I need to upgrade the OS. From the About screen I am running version 3.2.2.126.
