Hi everyone, I am the BES admististrator and BB person for my company. I have a user who e-mailed me and I am at a loss for an answer. Hoping someone on here knows the answer. So here goes....

Is there an option to automatically delete messages on the Blackberry after a predefined number of days?

Any info would be helpful.

I can't recall on older versions but on BB 4.0, you can set your device up to auto delete messages after so many days. On the device go to messages-->Options-->General Options. There is a setting in there that says "Keep Messages." Set that to a desired number of days.

I know that on the new 4.0 version you can set to automatically delete older messages as stated above. Another tidbit of info., you can also set up the webclient to delete messages automatically when you delete them from the handheld. A very nice option for those who recieve several emails each day; Takes out the step of having to delete from both the handheld and the webclient.
