Question Setup new E-Mail folders in the menu

Please Login to Remove!

I am using an 8800 (although I guess this question would relate to anyone using OS 4) on T-Mobile (UK) without BES. I have setup (via the t-mobile web page) access to my gmail account, and this is working great. As part of this setup, there is a folder in my menu that shows my gmail messages (seperate to the messages folder which shows everything).

I have then setup the redirector at work to forward my work mails to the phone, and this works great too. However, the only way I can see these mails is to open the default message folder. This obviously integrates everything in one folder. It is possible to go to options, view folder, and select inbox to get a view of my messages, but I can't use this method to view my gmail messages. There just isn't a folder option that gives me the right mails.

So, my question is, can I create a menu item that takes me straight to the inbox view for my redirected mail? Or (even better), can I get the messages view to allow me to select both 'inbox' and 'gmail inbox' as seperate views from the same place.

Hopefully all that makes sense!

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Have you tried the Gmail application for the Blackberry. It's pretty nice and you can do everything you can do from your computer like archive emails, etc.. I have Gmail installed on my BB even though I set up Gmail to push to my BB. I like having the program too as it allows me to get into my Gmail account and do some housekeeping.

Nope. Mail forwarded via Redirector and BES will only arrive in Messages. You can either use View Folder and select your inbox or set up a search and tie it to a hotkey. Accounts integrated with BIS (and only those accounts) will have their own icons.
