Default Need help deciding on a BB device...HELP!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all!

I'm currently up for an upgrade with AT&T (and have no intention of leaving them) and would like to know if any of you could offer a suggestion as to what device would best meet my needs on their network. I really like the 8300, but here's what I really need:

*A good calendar (it's been a couple years since I had my last BB, but I recall the calendar was pretty good).
*Ability to use Gmail and have Gmail messages "pushed" to the device while also allowing messages to continue showing up on the Gmail account itself on my PC.
*A good internet browser
***And here's a biggie...I use a VNC connection on my PC which apparently runs using JAVA (I know nothing about setting it up, I just use it on the frontside) and controls several electronic systems at my place of work. Typically, when I open the IP address link to access the VNC, it opens a new window, shows the JAVA logo then directs to a login screen. I'm really hoping there is a device out there that will allow me to access this system via its web browser. Can any BB do this? If not, is there any device that can? I tried a Cingular 8525 and it can't do it.

Any answers are greatly appreciated! Thanks a bunch!

It's about the same for any BB for the items you listed. The calendars are the same. Email push is handled by the BIS and/or BES server and not the device you select. The browser's the same on all the latest models though the older generation devices (8700, 7130, etc) don't have Desktop View... The differences among the models are mostly in the features (camera, gps, suretype vs full qwerty) which you can compare at Blackberry.com.

The only thing I don't know about is VNC.
