I have noticed over the last couple of days that if someone forwards me a message from Yahoo mail, I only see the original message on my BB - not the comments in the forwarded message. I use GMAIL for my mail service, and if I log on to GMAIL on the web, I can see the comments without a problem.

Some additional details that I've found:
1. Creating a new message from Yahoo, the body of the email comes through just fine.
2. If I am copied on a reply, the same situation described above occurs (don't see the reply, only the original text).

Anyone have any ideas how to resolve this? It's frustrating trying to read peoples' minds when I get an email!

Yes, I'm having the very same annoying problem. When someone REPLIES from Yahoo Mail all I see is the original. I'm on a Sprint 7130e.
My only resolution is to use the Y! Mail Mobile site, Yahoo! Mobile. The Internet now fits your phone., which is also a pain.

Checked these boards and elsewhere on the internet and it turns out that the BB cannot accept html messages. Well, that's news to me since I've been getting responses from these Yahoo users for years now with no problem. But sounds as if it may have something to do with the recent software upgrade?? in the meantime, i sent the Yahoo users emails in plain text and their responses came through to the BB just fine after that. It's a hassle but it beats having to log in to Gmail (which I filter all my email through) to retrieve them each time.

@inthchips: How are you sending Yahoo users plain text emails... from your blackberry only? I, too, use Gmail (or google apps) to filter/forward all my email to Yahoo. It will be a pain to ask all Yahoo users to email me in plain text only.

Testing has confirmed that a plain text message sent from Yahoo Mail does work with the new BIS 2.3.

I use Yahoo as my main page and recently got Yahoo Plus in an effort to kill the amazing amount of junk that was getting through otherwise. I also have gmail. I have both of them going through the email client on my 8700c. It helps with quickly sorting through all of my messages(emails) etc to have them both together. I haven't had the problem with not getting attachments. I even get jpgs and can open them. The problem may be that your Yahoo mail is going through Gmail first. Strange as that sounds, it is the only thing that I can figure.

I have been having problems with messages not being deleted on the server/original email site so I have to visit my email accounts on line to get rid of the stuff I got rid of on my 8700c!!

No, I sent them the emails directly from my computer (Outlook) in plain text. I hadn't even tried sending them directly from the BlackBerry but assume it would send to them in plain text??

The only contact I am most concerned about not getting email from would not even know where to start to change his way of emailing as he admits he is computer-challenged Every time he emails, he simply finds an old one of mine and replies to it so if I sent one off in plain text, that would cure my issue with him. I only have a few contacts who use Yahoo, fortunately, as it would be quite a pain to ask Yahoo users to change their method of emailing.

Perhaps RIM will fix what I think is a weird glitch. I cannot tell if this has been this way for quite some time or as a result of the recent upgrade. But it only just started for me about a week-10 days ago that I can recall.

Am having the same issue and can confirm that it is not only from the Yahoo! mail client. I have a buddy that is sending me stuff from AOL and I get the first few replies in the email train and then it drops off. No idea why that is happening - seems like the message gets too long and then drops? I don't see a limit on the BIS settings - I am not on BES.
