first of all am new here and I would like to be a new frind

After we install the blackberry and use it with Lotus Notes we face some problems like :

1- when I receive a new mail and read it from my blackberry only , the same mail are marked as unread ( still new ) in the Lotus Notes user account.

2- when I receive a mail and read it from the blackberry only i found sometimes that after 15 - 20 minutes the mail will come unread again until I open it from the Lotus Notes .

Please note that we use the LN domino server V6.5 and we upgrade it to V7 but the problems are still .


I need your help badly

I also run a BlackBerry with Lotus Notes, and my emails in Notes remain unread even if I have already read them on the BlackBerry... this is not a problem that I have tried to solve.... usually because the BlackBerry is being used to alet me as to what is in my Lotus Notes inbox - and whilst I use the BlackBerry to send/reply to email quite regularly, most email work is done from within Notes - so I do not mind seeing the email as unread.

So... I can not help you with any suggestions for your question (1), unless "live with it" is an acceptable answer!
aybe there is a way to solve this... not sure.


With your question 2, I notice that read emails on the BlackBerry will go back to being un-read again, but only if I detach an attachment from the message within Lotus Notes.


There are some email reconciliation options on the BlackBerry and within the BlackBerry Desktop Manager that you should experiment with... and your BES Admin has control over many functions too.

Have you tried comparing your experiences with other BlackBerry users within your organisation to see if your issues are unique to you, or if they are a perhaps "company standard"?

The Wireless Reconciliation internal is about 15 minutes or 100 items that needs to be reconsile.

We've had the issue too. We found that this is affected by the Properties on the Notes Mail file, "replicate Unread marks" which is totally rediculous because we have no replica copies.
We have Notes version 6.5.3 on the BES server with BES 6.1.3
We put the Check mark on the Mail file to replicate unread marks, it works better, but It is still flakey. Sometimes it takes a server reboot, or a reconcile now in the BB mail options before it works. Of course support is saying upgrade notes, but reading about this issue has proven that it is flakey in version 7 too! Sorry I can't be more optimistic about it.
