Default Can't add emails to BIS

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, im experiencing a strange problem with BIS:

my emailaccount username is "xali" and not [email address]

BIS is not accepting the short username/handle to login in (imap/pop3) so i cant add any of my email accounts...

Anyone experienced the same problem ? What kind of feature is that ?;)

Funny thing is that the example by BB states "johnsmith OR [email address]" is valid to enter..

On at&t BIS you're prompted for

Email address:
Password:
Confirm password:

Is yours actually different?

if you put in "bogus" information you are forwarded to the "advanced" setup where you can specify an account name...

but i wonder myself, a few hours later i was able to do it..

strange thing is that now BB fakes the return-path and sent from info

user is: "xali"

and POP is POP.mypopserver.com

and it makes AUTOMATICALLY [email address] out of it - that adress doesnt even exist ;) (well i just generated it to catch errant mails)

well, it works, i dont care otherwise...

now i just need to find a workaround for the 15 minutes poll ;)

maybe sendmyself an email every 3 minutes to let it poll faster ;)

or i need to figure out what google/yahoo is doing, but im sure that requires some BB license or agreement ;)
