Default MP3 and WAV attachment problems

Please Login to Remove!

Since the BIS upgrade, I now have the option for "Open Attachment" for MP3 and WAV files.
But, when I try to open them, I get "Unrecognized Document Format"

Has anyone else had this problem?
Will this only work when Alltel decides to upgrade the 8703 to the 4.2 OS?

I think you need at least the 4.2 OS to play wav files. My 8700 is at 4.1 and I can open wav attachments in my e-mail, but they will not play. Not sure about mp3.

Hi,

This thread night be useful for you.
http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...tachments.html

Also you may install trial of MasterDoc - it can save and open WAV and MP3 attachments as files - and see if it suits you. Trial is available at: http://dynoplex.com/blackberry/downl...h_os_4.00.html or via your BB browser: http://dynoplex.com, then Mobile version.
