Default How to retrieve BIS user name?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

How do I retrieve my Blackberry internet service user name. I've got the password, but not the user name. I must change the settings on one of my mail boxes.

Thanks.

If you have an email message sent from a BIS user, the user name will be the prefix of the email address.
In other words [email address]

I don't have any messages sent from a BIS user.

I bought my 8703e from Sprint. Damned if I can find a support tel # for assistance, or a web page.

Thanks for trying.

send yourself a message using the defaut BIS account.
It should show the email address and that would be your user name

That's not necessarily true. The part of your BIS email address before the @ symbol and your user ID can be totally different (mine are). If they're not the same and you don't recall your BIS user ID you would need to contact your carrier's BB/data support group.

Ditto here. The user name I wanted was taken from a previous BIS account (which I think is my old one which I no longer have access to) so I used a different one. My the address with the name I wanted was available cause I'd never used it under the old account.
