Smile Blackberry with JVM - Possible

Can blackberry phones (any model) be able to have the Java Virtual machine loaded on to them?
I am developing mobile applications and we use BB a lot but all our applications are J2ME and there is no need for a JVM. As requirements get bigger and applications more complex we are looking at a more roboust solution that will require a JVM.

What kind of database can a BB( any model) host?

Thanks

That is not going to work. The BBs barely have enogh CPU power to run a browser. They are not going to have any where close to the processing power or RAM needed to run a J2SE JVM and a data base. This is the whole reason they came out with the J2ME JVM.

Besides that you would need a copy of the J2SE that was compiled for the RISC CPU instruction used on a specific type and model phone. Even if you could find a generic compiler that will work across all the BBs it will still be different for CDMA phones verses GSM.
