Anyone find slow email icons to appear after reboot with BIS 2.3?

Default Anyone find slow email icons to appear after reboot with BIS 2.3?

I have a curve on tmobile and I am noticing that it takes several minutes for my indivual email icons to pop up and for my devcie to go from edge to EDGE after a reboot. This started after the BIS 2.3 upgrade.

Don't know if it is a tmobile only thing?

I have the same slowness with 8800 BES on Cingular. Way too slow

it does not take several minutes for me...usually about 5-10 seconds for the edge to go to EDGE. try taking the battery off and SIM card, then wait 1 minute, then put it back on.

if that doesn't fix it, try doing a restore via USB

Ive doen all that even tried multiple OSs. Are you on BES too. What model and carrier do you have?

Just for clarification, my problem is the time it takes from powering up until the device is ready to use. that is minutes

It's only a few seconds to go from edge to EDGE, but the overall power up process is much slower than it was before the latest handheld software upgrade
