so i have heard things about the new bis being out for att. 2.3. well why cant i get the .wav files on email to play then if that was one of the updates. why do i have to still use audiopop. does anyone know if 2.3 is out or what?

Yes, BIS 2.3 was rolled out a couple of Saturdays ago. There have been a couple of threads about sound files and email since then, so you may want to do a search.

I believe that you need OS 4.2 on your Blackberry for this to work...could that be your issue?

You are a little confused. The current version of BIS is 2.3.
4.2 is the current version of the BB operating system. There is no such thing as "BIS 4.2"

Actually you asked if BIS 2.3 was out yet. I think you are all confused.

The release of BIS 2.3 and your ability to play .wav files on your BB are two unrelated elements. THAT's why people were trying to steer you in another direction.
