Post 2 Blackberries, 1 Email Account...what happens???

Please Login to Remove!

Hey all...long time, no talk! Here's my question- my wife just got a new 8830 for work and wants to setup some BIS accounts...no problems there. We have an email account that we share (and it's already set up on my BB). The question is: What happens if I set up the account to be polled in her BB, in addition to mine?

Would the email be delivered to both BB's? Would the space/time continuum be impacted greatly by having two BIS'es on two different providers (her- VZW, me- TMO) poll the same (xxx@verizon.net) POP3 account? These are the kinds of questions that seem to bother me on Sunday morning!! Thanks!!

It would be the same as if you were checking the one account from two different computers. Should be no problem.

Congrats with 8830!

Yes, just go and set email account on both blackberries. It will work, with no problems.

Sounds good all, thanks!

She is really enjoying the 8830, but then again..it's her first BB- she doesn't know any better!!

I'm patiently waiting for the (hopefully!!) 8900 or 9000 series BB that's got Wifi, GPS and the media player. No sense wasting my upgrade to the Curve, since it doesn't have everything I want...

(maybe the iPhone? )

Default Other mail

Hello,

I have a related situation. I just got an 8800 at work which means that my wife can have the 8700. Is it possible to use a 8700 to receive mail without having to pay for a BB service (in the UK about 17 per month)? She is not absolutely essential for her to have a BB so she does not think it is worth paying that much for the service, but it seems a waste not to use the 8700 since it is so much better for email than the old Sony Ericson she curretly uses.

Best,
Peter
