Welcome to the forums.

BB Messenger uses data on your device - whether the message goes to someone in the UK, or outside the UK.

For the applications, I'd suggest you browse thru the Aftermarket Software forum - eOffice is the only one that comes to mind, but I've never used it.

Baz--BB Messenger and PIN messaging (same thing) are part of your Data Plan. You won't pay more for it, unless of course you exceed your 75mb.

It is not possible to measure monthly usage on your phone. 75mb/month would be heavy usage. You shouldn't have a problem with it.

baz, there's a search button at the top of this page, likewise an entire section of this forum called Aftermarket Software--read the Sticky Notes at the top for some good software threads.

Also look and read the BlackBerryFAQ.com site, to read up on how to use your BB and a link on applications.
