Default SpinVox in US?

Please Login to Remove!

Has anybody in the US actually been able to get SpinVox? I got a nice email saying they were processing requests and running a bit of lag. Haven't heard back, tried calling and nothing. Are they taking subscribers? -Pk

Wow.
I used this service in the UK and fell in love with it. It is just soooo cool to be able to read your vm whilst in a meeting etc or when you are out of signal. Its brilliant. The recognition is very clever too.
I would be interested how much you guys in the US get charged for it.

I was about to get another account at SpinVox and it now appears they are no longer accepting free accounts. From their website:

"Hi and thank-you for your enquiry. SpinVox is now available directly in the US and our introductory Spin-my-Vmail offer has closed.

Cincinnati Bell (Welcome to Cincinnati Bell) is the first US carrier to offer SpinVox to US customers and there will be more news announcements coming soon.
"

On a related note for this board, I think this is new on their site:

"If you would like to see how Voice-to-Screen services work for you then why not try one of these:-

SpinVox for Blackberry

If you have a Blackberry and would like to find out more about SpinVox for BlackBerry and join our trial user group go to SpinVox Ltd. - SpinVox for Blackberry - Beta (Coming Soon) for further details

I am interested in seeing what SpinVox comes up with but I am really picky about releasing a lot of personal info for a beta:

To register your interest in SpinVox for BlackBerry please email us at [email address] with the following information:

* Your name
* Your mobile phone number
* The Carrier / Network your BlackBerry uses
* The model of your BlackBerry
* Your address including; City, State (US Only), Country
* Time zone (US Only)

Does that seem like a lot of info to disclose for a beta service or am I just being paranoid?

I was confused by your posting on SpinVox Lite - and thought I'd clarify. I Googled "SpinVox Lite" and found that "CBW" is Cincinnatti Bell Wireless - apparently a wireless company in Ohio.

I believe you need to have their wireless service in order to take advantage of SpinVox: Cincinnati Bell Wireless Calling Services

I do like the fact that there are three plans - vs. SimulScribe's one plan.

edit: add Google reference

I'm not much on "branding", I know they have a lite service and a mid range and an unlimited. (at Cincy bell)
