| It sounds like you're simply timing out. This is a stab in the dark, but....
For whatever reason, Windows always sets up COM ports at 9600 BPS instead of 115200BPS. In Device Manager, go to Standard Modem which is what the BlackBerry uses, and find the COM port the modem is using on the Modem tab.
Now, go to that COM port and set it to 115200 BPS.
If that doesn't fix the problem, try setting the Flow Control to Hardware.
