Default Turn off "autotext" on an 8700 blackberry.

Please Login to Remove!

The user is typing and it is replacing characters with text - is there any way to permanently turn off the autotext feature or is this something else?

Are you talking about the AutoText feature, for example if you type 'acn' it will automatically correct it to 'can' ? That's in Options --> AutoText. This can also be found in the user guide that came with your device.

You can't turn OFF AutoText at Options. If so, I'd like to know.

You can turn off AutoText for SMS at Options > SMS.

Although you did not say what exactly your user's typing issue is, go look at Options > Language > Input Method. Make sure it is set to what the user needs, like ENGLISH, if the user is such.
