Default Duplicate Internet Browser Icons

Please Login to Remove!

Within the past couple of days, the Internet Browser icon on the BB's home screen has somehow gotten duplicated. I have no idea how or why.

I'd like to remove the duplicate, and I don't just want to hide it unless that's the only option available.

Is there a way to get rid of it?

Same thing here, it appeared maybe 3-4 days ago. I tried re-sending the service books and did several battery pulls. A minor annoyance is also that my bookmarks page now displays two "links" folders (there was only 1 before), which can not be deleted...

I'm using a Sprint 7130e, 4.1.0.359, on BIS

Is it possible the BIS 2.3 conversion has something to do with it? I just noticed we are all on Sprint. Hope someone out there has a solution!

You ARE all on Sprint, odd issue.

You could try this: delete your Browser Service Book (Options > Advanced > Service Books > Delete. Reboot your BB. You "should" see no browser icon. Go to your BIS website and resend the service books. You may need to reboot again after you see the message the books have been sent.

This past weekend I started having duplicate browser icons on the home screen of my ATT 8820. What specific service book (name) should I delete?

I had this same problem with my Verizon 7130e. I called them but they weren't able to help. I solved it by deleting all the services that had the word "Browser" in them. I think it was 3 or so. Then went to the Host Routing Table and did a Register Now or whatever. That worked!
