Question Cannot delete email from my BB

Please Login to Remove!

I restored a backup file when I was given a replacement device by Sprint. All of the messages contained within that file transferred over to my device without a problem...but I can't delete any of them. If I press the DEL key or use the trackwheel I get the delete menu up, I am presented with the usual choices (Mailbox and handheld, handheld, cancel) but neither of the delete options has any effect.

I searched and couldn't find anything related to this. Does anyone have any idea what's up?

Wirelessly posted (7130e: BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/104)

No. The messages are in my main message inbox. And whether it's a BIS or BES message, none can be deleted. The only messages I can delete are those since the restore.

And does that work? A battery pull reboot does the trick for many users who have this problem.

I found the solution for my issues (battery pull did not work). I just re-created the message database (backed it up) then restored the new backup onto my device, and the problem was solved. Something in the message database had become corrupted on a previous restore. Not sure why it got corrupted, but it is fixed now....
