Default Unistalled BB Messenger from 8300

Please Login to Remove!

I use JiveTalk and I am trying to find out how to disable BB Messenger or uninstall it from my 8300. When I launch the Task Manager its always running and I can't seem to get it to CLOSE.

Any ideas would be most helpful.

It doesn't close. It's always running. The only way is to remove it from the BB. To do that you would need to delete the application from Options >Advanced Options >Applications. Highlight Blackberry Messenger and click the menu key and select "Delete."

Keep in mind that if you do this you can't get it back unless you have the BB OS package installed to your PC. You have to plug back in to the computer and run Desktop Manager/Application Loader to get it back on.

Or you can install it OTA here:
http://www.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=bbm

It's also listed in my Mini Version Tracker (link in sig), but it's not working at the moment.

That OTA will NOT work on 4.2 devices. You MUST install it from the OS.
