Default Disabling PIN Messages on a Single Handheld

Please Login to Remove!

Dear All,

Hope all is well

A blackberry is not handy at the moment to test with but is it possible to disable incoming/outgoing PIN messages on the handheld itself? I believe it can be disable at the server and if so, can it be disable for a single user at the server as well?

Handhelds can be 8700 - 8800 as well as the Pearl.

TIA
~

I believe this is a feature of the 4.2 OS (I have a Curve) but under Security Options -> Firewall, I have the options to block the following:
Block Incoming Messages: SMS, MMS, PIN, BIS

that's sweet that you can do that on the device.

It can be done on the server by IT policy. Assign the user with a policy that has Security --> Firewall block incoming messages and you can choose what you want to block. To block them from sending: Device only items --> Allow peer to peer messages to false.
