The signature line is not inserted by the carrier. The default signature is set by either the BES, or the BlackBerry Web Client.
For Web Client: Log into the BWC site, and select "Options". The first setting within Options is the auto-signature. You can modify or eliminate the auto signature.
If you are using a 4.0 device on 4.0 BES, you can make this change right on the handheld. While viewing Messages, click the wheel, selection Options from the side menu, then select email settings. You can turn off auto-signature their, which will remove the message as well.
