Did you know that if you type in <confirm> in the subject line (must precede actual subject) that you will get a confirmation email back as soon as its delivered to the recipients BlackBerry?

As Johnny Carson used to say, "I did not know that." It works on my 7290.

Do you have to type in the "<>" or can you just type confirm? Thanks for the help!!

just tried this the to email was my sent from address, as was the sent to email, and it really gave no info other than a timestamp.

Also the <confirm> shows up on the other users device.

A very good tip. Posted a few months ago here - http://www.blackberryforums.com/show...hlight=confirm - we should update the FAQs and tips to include this!

with a delivery receipt in normal outlook email, the user can have his laptop/desktop shut off but it will still give a receipt if it hits the mailbox. With the BB you know the user has actually received the email and that his/her device is on.

By any chance, does this feature not work with the 7520, because I've tried it a feww times and still no confirmation. Or, could it be that I'm looking for something on the device but should be looking in web client??

I just tried to a YAHOO account and I got the same thing as you. I checked the message in Yahoo and it did show the "<confirm>" in the subjext line of Yahoo mail.

ive got a 7520 and it works fine....you have to type it with no spaces - <confirm>.

Hmmmmm, maybe it is an issue on the AT&T side. It is not working for me. This is what it looks like in the message.

hmm, I didn't think about that. I am not on a BES so that may be the deal.

I don't think it's related to BES. I'm not on BES, and it worked for me.
