How can I clear the data completely without going through the "delete Prior" route on the 7250/7290

Is there like a RESET or WIPE data keys that I can press to clear all the data ?

under options; security; wipe handheld

I only can see the following options under Security:

password:
security timeout:
Lock handset upon Holstering: and
the policy name

cant see wipe handheld.

Set a password; enter it incorrectly 10 times (follow the prompts). That will erase all customer data. Sounds like you have v3.8 on the 7290 (or something less than 4.0) where the Wipe Handheld was added.

the wipe handheld is in a drop down menu if you hit the track wheel

I see the wipe handheld option on my BB.
