Ok my 7520 just started doing this;
Whenever I charge my BB I usually turn it off since I have a very bad signal at home, and it won't fully charge when it is on. But starting today it isn't charging completely nor do I think that it is fully turning off. The red light is blinking letting me know that it is charging, and the screen is off, but it is still beeping when there is a new message. Now if it is off, how is it downloading new messages?

There are two off modes:

Fully Power Down or Suspend (auto-off). In suspension, it may appear that you can receive messages.

I usually get emails waiting in my Messages when my BB 'wakes' up after auto-on engages. options>auto on/off

Well I use the turn off icon, and wait for it to power down before charging it, but this time it's different.

If you want it to TOTALLY power down you need to use the "TURN POWER OFF" icon, [U]NOT[/u] the "TURN WIRELESS OFF". The TURN POWER OFF totally shuts the phone down. It is strange that you are having problems with it fully charging while it is on. Did you drop your phone or battery? I think my 7520 has been on since I bought it the week the 7520 came out with Nextel in December 2004. The only time mine shuts off is when upgrading or installing or unistalling software.

I have never turned mine off except while removingthe battery i use the auto on and off at night and mine fully charges everytime. during the day mine may drop a couple of bars i stick it on the wall charger for 15 minutes and bam fully charged again.
