Default Holster Leaving Marks

Please Login to Remove!

New to the forum...searched but could not find an answer:

What can be done to alleviate the problem referenced above? I have a "BLUE" 7230 and both sides of the hardware (either side of the keyboard) are totally scuffed up from the standard holster!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Consider moving to a leather holter as most have done. The standard issued OEM holster from was an awful design from the get go, see the following: http://store.bizshopr.com/7200.html

Just upgraded to a leather holster myself and I love it. I got scratches and scuffs as well from the OEM holster. Check a local flee market or cheap cellular accesory store. I found one with a sleep function and good durability for $9.00

I agree with finch http://store.bizshopr.com/7200.html is a great site. I have the leather holster for my BB7520 and I like it better than the standard holster that scrached mine as well!

OK so I need a little of hands on advice regarding BB holsters, mostly the clips. I have a rim leather holster but my new gunbelt is extra thick 1 1/2" wide (I finally steped up to custom leather), and my bb clip has a hard time dealing with this. Who makes an extra large clip, or a slip on loop thats not tacky?

If your in the police business seems to me that you just need to go to a Bluetooth wireless hand set when you get out of the car...LOL! Maybe try looking at this, although it's not leather.

you can also try http://www.awenterprises.com/produc...A_subCatID_E_43 they have very rugged cases, that you can purchase seperate clips to accomadate a tool belt, which is essentially what you have. For pics you can just ask and you shall recieve.

i actually like the standard holster it comes with, but my 4 day old bb has scratches on the side too. i like the swivel so i can flip it 180 deg. when i sit down.

the scratches come from the bumpers inside the holster(probably to keep the BB from being loose in the holster), so in order to solve this problem, i am going to sand down the bumpers with a dremel, and replace it with a little piece of felt so it will able to still be secure in the holster. i will let you know how this turns out if anyone is interested.

We have this case in the original (no Logo) design as well as the "Nextel Logo" version. This fits any of the 62xx/72xx/6510/75xx BlackBerry's... hey of it's good enough for the FBI then...

BB PINs are for BB to BB messaging...without email or SMS...just type in PIN messaging in the search and you'll see...

Nah I dont carry it on the uniform belt. It might fall well but I doubt its made to rumble. I'm still young enough to throw down a perfectly good flashlight and go hands
What I really want is to keep my OE BB leather holster, but get a wider clip fo that holster. I may have to hack this myself. The rig is a plainclothes rig, the belts only 1.5 wide but al least a 1/4" thick. The clip was not designed to swallow a belt that thick.
Life is full of things to overcome.
