Default Cingular/AT&T unlimited international question.

Hi folks, I've searched and searched the site and have yet to find a consistant answer. I'm going to be in Germany for two weeks. I have the Unlimited International plan on my phone, but my question is... does this include data like web browsing etc? Or is this purely for email? I'd hate to get charged at the standard $.0195 rate.

If you have the International BB Data plan it will include data like web browsing. The last time I was in Munich I was getting megabytes of pushed info like stocks, RSS feeds, etc and it was included.

Don't forget that you will need to upgrade to $19.99 BB Unlimited International E-Mail.

Not on at&t. At&t has a full international BB data plan.

Just be aware that there is now a minimum term and an ETF that applies if you switch BB data plans from the international one before the term is over.

I was told by AT&T int'l csr that the international plan can be switched out - it's a feature and thus can be removed. And yes...it include data roaming from the bb.

You can definitely travel without any problems in any country without incurring any extra charges.

I am constantly in the US and Canada, with more time being spent in Canada. I just pay for the international data plan and thats about it.

If I am not mistaken if you dont have enough credit there is a 3 month time frame when you can sign up for the international data plan. Once you choose the plan you can definitely opt out of it. Ofcourse you will be paying pro rated charges for the month if you are changing before or after your billing cycle.

If I am not mistaken the plan is $79.99 plus taxes depending on where you are staying. Hope this helps.
