Default Baffling Screen Status Icon

Please Login to Remove!

Here's a silly one that has me stumped. I have a screen status icon that looks like a miniature cassette tape which is preceded by "1" on my 8800. It appears like an awaiting e-mail or missed phone alert would, but it is not either. I've checked mail, messages, calendar, and almost everything else I could think of. What is the icon alerting me to check?

I know this is simple stuff, if you know the answer, but I am baffled. I did install the new hand held 4.2.1.101 OS yesterday, and all was working just fine, but I have the icon this morning. Probably unrelated, but who knows. I'm on Cingular/AT&T, btw.

That certainly is a voicemail waiting icon.

it's a voicemail icon but if you dont have any voicemail, try doing a battery pull to see if it goes away
