Default The Undead (contacts reappear after deletion)

Please Login to Remove!

I'm having an odd problem with my address book. Certain contacts appear to be duplicating at a rate of several new copies every day. Out of an address book of 1600 names only certain contacts are affected. I've tried various combinations of deleting the problem contacts in both Notes and the Blackberry. Nothing worked. Recently I took one contact and deleted ALL of the instances from BOTH devices. I thought I had killed it for certain.

But it was undead. Instances are reappearing on both devices. They seem to be coming from nowhere. I deleted them again. They returned.

Anybody have any ideas?

I am betting a $1 on BES, since he gives a hint about "Notes" at the end of the first paragraph.

I'm on BES, as guessed. I'm thinking that it's coming from the server, but anybody have an idea on how to kill it??

I suggest calling your BES admin.

If you are the BES admin, I would try wiping the BB, fixing up your contacts in Notes and then re-activating the BB. That being said, I am an exchange person and don't know the first thing about the interworkings of Notes, so I could be completely off base. Good luck!!

P.S. I found your "undead" post to be absolutely hilarous. thanks for the Monday humor!!
