Default Help me chose a new BB

Please Login to Remove!

Please, help me chose a new device. Here's the relevant info.

I currently own 7510. I have been using it for about 1 year.

Things I don't like:
- very weak screen back light
- slow overall
- slow internet
- relatively short battery life
- inability to send SMS (hate it with passion)
- protruding antenna (hate it, too)

Things I like:
- everything else

I talk a lot. I read a lot of e-mails. I send _very few_ e-mails. I carry it in my pocket (no more antenna, please). I browse internet -- not too often, though.

Also, I do _not_ want the one with the joystick in the middle instead of the wheel on the side -- I will crush the joystick carrying the device in my pocket.

Please, advice as to which new device I should buy.

No BlackBerrys have a joystick, a trackball, yea, but no joystick.

You need the 8700. Great device, and they are relatively cheap now with the newer models.

The 'new' 4.2 8700 on AT&T is pretty slick too!

Yep, I was honestly going to suggest the 8800, but it has a trackball, and the media card and the gps, but I don't think Nexthell has it.

You will like the 8700 or similar model Nextel has.

Sprint/Nextel has 8703 and 8830. I really like 8830 as it's smaller -- a big deal for me. But then it has a trackball -- you think I will crush it if I carry it in the jeans' pocket?

Also, why on the earth 8830 costs 99.99 and 8703 costs 149.99. I thought 8830 is "cooler".

No you won't crush the trackball, but it can easily collect lint from your pants pocket, and that is not good. the 8703 is a good device too, though.

Go play with each at a store and see what feels best to you in your hands, and what you think of the trackball.

Played with both of them already. Ok, 8703 then. Thank you for advice, JSanders & careyana
