Is it instead a voicemail notification icon?

Edit: LH probably right....battery pull.

If it is the voicemail icon that won't go away, then my recommendation is to call your BlackBerry from another line and then leave a voice message. Then, listen to the voice message from your BlackBerry and then delete it. See if that takes away the voicemail icon.

Update: Oops, posted right before I saw that last message.

Have you went into Message Application and hit menu, then select view folder and scroll down to Phone Call Logs and delete all of them?

From the messages folder, when you click wheel (or whatever) to open menu, do you see View Folder. If so, click on that, and from there open the missed calls folder, and is it empty or is there something there?

What didn't work? Do you mean the folder is empty, yet you still have the icon?

Did you say 1x Phone icon?

Messages > View Folders > Missed Calls. Clear that.

Well, you won't like my answer. Me, I'd pull the battery again, wait a good 5 mintes, and if that doesn't fix it, I'd live with it until it eventually goes away as mysteriously as it arrived.

ok, one last suggestion.

Call your BB from another line. Let it ring and miss the call.

Go pull the battery and reboot.

Clear the missed calls. See what is left.

Good luck.

Someone on another thread like this said highlight the date banner while in Messages and then press the Berry Button for the Menu, and then select Mark Prior Opened. It works for me. Don't know if it works when there are no messages showing (don't know if the date banner shows up if there are no messages!)
