I'm no expert but from what I see the only difference is the size and the full keyboard...everything else is the same

I believe the curve also has support for stereo bluetooth, as well. So you can wireless play music to bluetooth headphones and speakers. Also, I believe the Curve has a built-in spell checker. You can do a search online to see everything.

You also have video playback on the Curve, something the Pearl does not support. Visit the 8300 Forum or search the site for more info/comparisons.

"Better" always depends on your needs/wants. You can always compare BB's side-by-side at Blackberry.com.

For me it would be the Curve. I hate Sure Type and love my full qwerty keyboard. Also love the size of the screen on the 87xx, 88xx, 83xx.

huh? It does support it. I have the 8100.

The only difference is, they improve the media player on the 8300.

Right now, the 8300 is the best Blackberry phone out there today for personal and business uses. The 8800 is also good for business use. So you can not go wrong with the 8300.

Actually, my Pearl isn't aware that it can't play videos... it seems to play back videos just fine.

The Curve does have a 2 megapixel camera, compared to 1.3 Megapixel camera for the Pearl.
