| | Blackberry IVR dialing from email

Hi to everyone,
I am trying to dial our IVR (Interactive Voice Responce) system from an email. What i would like to create an email with a number string and other relevant information that is sent to a field engineer, from the emailthe engineer will dial the number string which will first dial the IVR telephone number then pauses until the IVR is ready for input and then enter the case number and various other details
I have found to add pauses to a phone number on the Blackberry you can to add a "p" into the number string e.g. 0800999999p1pp123456#pp123456# (this also work on other mobile phones, nokia, etc)
When entering the number manually it connects perfectly. I have not managed to get the full number to work when dialling from an email. The number when sent in an email only dials the first part of the string (0800999999 from example above)
I need to find a way of getting the blackberry to dial from the first "0" to the last "#"
Does anyone know how this can be done or of an application that will do this?
Oh, cutting and pasting the number string from the email does work but is not very slick and does create an oppotunity for user input error
