Default Help: Lost Blackberry! What About My Push-Emails?

Please Login to Remove!

So I lost my Blackberry last night and reported it through T Mobile. They have disabled my phone and the SIM. My question is, if someone has the phone and uses a SIM, will they receive my Push Email? Is there a possible way to get that undone? Any help will be appreciated!! Thanks

As long as T-Mobile suspended the PIN nobody should be able to get your push email (since it's based on your PIN, not your SIM number). When you get a new device, just log into the T-Mobile BIS site and put in your new PIN number.

juwaack68...Thanks for the quick reply! So by disabling my phone, T Mobile disabled my PIN as well right?

They SHOULD have, but it can't hurt to call them and confirm.

Not sure if it can be done, but you may want to log into your BIS account and either erase the PIN or change it to FFFFFFFF or something.

They don't usually offer to disable the PIN. They will deactivate the sim. You have to ask them specifically if they can deactivate the PIN. I would definitely do what was suggested above and change the PIN right away. However, I don't think you can put in an invalid pin so you may need to have TMo do it.

Definitely don't assume that they did anything regardling your BB data. I'd log in and remove my email accounts from BIS if I were in your place.
