Default 8703e Scroll Works - Can't Select

Please Login to Remove!

So here is the deal:

I work in the Marine Industry. My 8703e has taken quite the beating in the last few weeks. Today, while washing down my boat, I put the Blackberry in a safer place than in my holster. I went to look at the phone later on today to see if I had emails, etc. I am able to use the scroll to high-light different icons but cannot click them to open. Nothing else on the phone works. I have pulled the battery numerous times to reset (Does this work?) and left it without the battery in for awhile. I am still having the same problem. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forums,
You might let it dry out. It may have collected some moisture. Aside from that it might just be time for a new one. The 8830 from Sprint is quite a nice device.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I agree. It is most likely the moisture. Cut your losses. I also hope you have the insurance on the device. My carrier has the insurancve with a $50 deductible on a purchase of the same model.
