Default so what all can i do with this thing without a data plan

So i really want to buy an BlackBerry 8703e. I just think that they are awesome. But i do not have a data plan so i was wondering what all could i do with this phone? can i get internet? must i pay extra for messaging programs? different games or hacks. just the cool little things that i can know so i can maximize what all i do with this thing. any help is appreciated thanks.

Not much you can do without a data plan. That being said, I think I've read on here that Verizon still provisions the account and charges you for data without the plan because the BB uses data all the time. You're better off getting an unlimited data plan.

you need blackberry data service for internet browsing. . . you can do IM, SMS without BB data plan, VZ messaging fees apply . . . you can also use the PDA functions

Without a data plan you've just got a nice phone and a semi-crippled PDA.

True. Maybe I phrased that wrong. You can use the device for phone, sms, etc. and as stated above you can use all the PDA functions that the BB has. You can load applications that can be loaded using the PC but not over-the-air (OTA.) But most of the extra fun stuff won't work (most of it uses data.)
