Default How can I still use my BlackBerry inside HP?

Please Login to Remove!

As a long time BB user & self-confessed bigot, my device (8700) has now been rendered impotent by HP! The company I worked for was recently acquired by HP The BES is dead and I've been given a crappy iPaq 6965 and told to use it along with the marvellous MS Mobile solution! Oh joy! Is there any way I can resurrect my Blackberry back to active use without losing my job! Thanks.

Is the old BB yours to keep? I'm guessing since it's not connected to the BES anymore you could probably safely remove any IT policy on it and use it as a personal device. However, the "without losing your job" part I can't help you with as you really didn't provide us with enough info. There are other ways of retrieving corporate email but they have to allow you to do so. For example, if they have Outlook Web Access that is able to be accessed via POP then you might be able to set up the BB that way.

However, if they are wanting you to use the iPaq then they probably don't want you using the BB. I would check with them before doing anything.
