Considering moving our business contract over to Blackberry and have been recommended to use BIS. However, am getting very different advice from various reps and networks so thought I'd better come to the real experts

The query I have is with the Blackberry (BIS) solution, I just need to know the answers to the following points:

1. When you read or delete an email on the Blackberry device will it show on the in house server as deleted (similar to when using OWA), or will everything have to be done twice? Is BIS on the BB simply a means of reading emails and replying but with no synchronicity with Exchange. Does it differ greatly from Wimdows Mobile 5 that I'm using now?

2. Also when you send an email from the Blackberry device can it be set up so the email appears to come from the in-house server address? i.e. ? as it does when sending messages from OWA.

BIS is only one way snc, i.e if you delete of the handheld it will delete of outlook but not the other way. BIS will not sync calendar and is not as secure for a corporate as BES, as BES uses 256 bit AES end to end.
If you do go for BIS you will be given a sign in to your providers site and you can type your name in which is what the recipient will see, thereofre you could type your company email address in there, but sure it will default to your comapnies email address anyway because when setting up your account you will be inputting your companies OWA address.

I have commented on a similar question in another thread. I would really love a definitive answer to this. Although I have seen only one way reconcile on my Blackberry with BIS, and indeed this is correct for version BIS 2.0. When I checked on the RIM Knowledge Base, on DOC ID: KB05133, for V2.3 of BIS it says:

Note: With BlackBerry Internet Service 2.3, integrations will now support full 2-way reconciliation of deletions, both from the BlackBerry device to the mailbox, and from the mailbox to the BlackBerry device.

In the table of email products with full sync - OWA has yes in all the boxes. Therefore, I take this to mean that the sync would be BOTH ways ???
