I just called ATT to activate the international unlimited plan as we are going to Europe on our honeymoon, and they now tell me that in order to add the Blackberry international plan, you MUST commit to a year on that plan, in other words, you can't just add it for two or three weeks and then go back to the domestic plan?

WTF?

It's been this way at least since I got my Curve in June (and discussed elsewhere on these boards.) Sucks, but there you have it. "The Crippler," Verizon, still allows you to activate and de-activate Global Data.

Which is what I do for T-Mobile - without nary a problem.

Yet another thing I will have to negotiate my way around...

They have been horrible for both voice and data and have been opening ticket after ticket since October....

I have a feeling we will be leaving them when we get back from our trip (and have them throw the contract in the trash)

We even have to commit to this at the corporate level.
