Ok, so I accidently dropped my BB (8700g) in the toilet. Long story. It's basically dead, a few things work but even after 24+ hrs its still not right.

Unfortunately I don't qualify for an upgrade via TMobile(according to the CSR). So what are my options to buy a phone without having to extend my contract? Where can I buy a phone locally (don't really have time to wait)? What I'm really looking for is advice on how to get the phone fast and cheap

Also do you recommend the 8800 or the 8100?

If you had the 8700, you will like the 8800, or another 8700. Getting one quick? I don't know, other than your TMo Retailer. Look on this board at the Buy Sale Trade section.

Read the link at the FAQ site about "i got my BlackBerry wet" for other options on drying out your BB. It might be gone, but more time is the key. One day won't get it.
