My 7730 comes with a storage of 16 MB + 2 MB.

The desktop manager shows a used storage for applications of 9302KB.

The handheld shows in "options > status"

Free storage: 2230588 Byte
Whole storage: 13500416 Byte

My questions:

Why can I not use the whole 18 MB?

The difference between the shown whole storage and the free storage is 11269828 Byte.

But only 9302 Byte is in use. What happened to the rest of 2000 KB?

In the desktop manager the language support is listed with 3777 KB - only German is activated.
Is that true? Usually localization only needs a tiny text file.
In other words: could I gain full 3777 KB, when I disable the language support?
